Something “Ignoble” inside the Philippine UN Office?

In truth, I’ve already heard of this “UN Scandal” a month before the “Great Malu Fernandez Scandal” first broke out in the blogoshpere.

I was planning to write a post about this issue but I never got around to do it. Two things hindered me — one was my then relative unease at blogging (newbie pa kasi); the other was the “Malucious Diva” herself, who succeeded in “hogging” (sorry, couldn’t resist that) my attention for several weeks 🙂

But now, given that the Malu Issue has progressed to another level, let me get back to Nileema Noble (that’s her the airbrushed arrow is pointing at).

Quo Vadis, Diva? Nahimasmasan ka na ba?

Hmmm…. You issued a Public Apology AND resigned from both the Manila Standard Today and People Asia Magazine all in one day. Wow… what can I say?

Actually, wala na masyado, except maybe “Ok… buti naman…” (and that with a mildly doubting look on my face pa ha).

Many bloggers have already spoken (written) about this “resolution” to the Malu Fernandez Scandal — some not believing that she was sincere in her apology and that she was, in all probability, forced by her publishers (or by embarrassed politician-relatives) to resign against her will; others, and I count myself among this group, chose to adopt a “wait and see” attitude.

Wait for what? Look out for what?

Well… sa kung anong mga susunod na magaganap, shempre!

Malu Fernandez issued an apology, yes… But what about her editors who allowed her patently bigoted and insensitive articles to get published? At mukhang nagpapalusot pa nga yung dyaryo niya! Buti na lang at hindi pumayag ang iba na palampasin na lang ng basta-basta ang ganitong mga hirit.

Still more on “La Diva Loca”

Ok, I gotta admit it, this is starting to become an addiction… a very irritating and frustrating addiction!

I can’t stop ranting about this bigoted “Diva” (slash) “Fashionista” (slash) kolumnista (wanna slash her wrist pa daw siya) because neither will she stop spewing her trash. And her editors at the newspaper she writes for show no sign of heeding the complaints of the many readers who have been offended by this woman’s writing. Could it be that the opinion of these indignant readers don’t count because they don’t belong to the said magazine’s “Standard” target audience in “Manila”?

Queen Kamehameha bitch in da haus!!!

I can’t say I was surprised by the amount of flak that the MATAPOBRE columnist featured in my previous post was able to attract in the few days since her trash of an article was first forwarded to people. She was, to be blunt about it, just BEGGING to get dissed. Whether she intentionally projects herself as a “BITCH” (her words, not mine) just to up her controversy ratings and, in the process, attract more readers (willing ones or not) I really can’t say. But one thing’s for sure — she really is one.

There’s a song featured in South Park The Movie that suits her perfectly and I found a sing-along version of it. Just substitute “Kyle’s mom” with the name of our self-styled “Diva” and you have a nice day! I did.

“Well, Kyle’s Mom’s a bitch, she’s a big fat bitch,
she’s the biggest bitch in the whole wide world,
she’s a stupid bitch if there ever was a bitch,
she’s a bitch to all the boys and girls.

Monday she’s a bitch, on Tuesday she’s a bitch,
and Wednesday to Saturday she’s a bitch,
then on Sunday just to be different she’s a
super King Kamehameha be-atch.

Have you ever met my friend Kyle’s Mom,
she’s the biggest bitch in the whole wide world,
she’s a mean old bitch and she has stupid hair,
she’s a bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch,

bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch cause-a
she’s a stupid bitch,
Kyle’s Mom’s a bitch and she’s just a dirty bitch,
Kyle’s mom is a bitch-ah.”

A friend recently forwarded this to me. It’s a scanned article from a magazine called “People Asia” which, apparently, seeks to showcase the many wonderful things that the people of Asia have to offer. The title of the article — “From Boracay to Greece” — was very promising. I expected a well-written travelogue; one that highlighted the many excellent sites in the two areas featured. Unfortunately, this article managed to highlight only one thing — that there are still many among the rich who despise their poorer countrymen.

I have nothing against a person “living the life” if he/she can afford it. But to be so callous as to look down on one’s own kababayans just because they make your trip a little less perfect? Copious amounts of Jo Malone perfume can’t mask this pretentious woman’s obvious lack of basic human decency.
